Synopsis
Med student Miles catches his influencer girlfriend cheating. To get back at her, he stages a “fake affair” — but the plan goes sideways when he accidentally kisses Hunter, a handsome CEO. Both of them insisted they were straight. One kiss changes everything.
Why it works
The vertical-drama world runs on fake relationships, but this one flips the formula: the fake affair is aimed at the ex, and the real story ambushes both leads from the side. Evan Gambardella and Greg Duffy have genuine romcom timing, and GoodShort committing to a real BL original (not a wink-and-cut tease) makes it stand out in a catalog full of billionaire-secret-baby variations.
Watch out for
If you need your romcoms heteronormative, this was never for you. Everyone else: the ex-girlfriend’s influencer meltdown alone is worth the free episodes.
